2011 in Review

January 2, 2012 in Building and Repurposing, Furniture Makeovers, Gettin' Crafty

2011 is over? Really?  Because I feel like it just began! 2011 was the start of my blog and I’ve had so much fun sharing my projects (and failures!). Trust me – there were even MORE failures you didn’t get to see. :-)

It seems the best way to close out the year is to take a look back at where we’ve been. I remember writing my first post and laughing at just how bare the site was. So I thought I was being all crafty and I wrote a few more posts and back-dated them. Ha! Looking back, it definitely wasn’t necessary. This little blog home of mine has grown post-by-post and now I can’t help but smile when I see all of the amazing comments and support from each and every one of you.

I know… I know… less gabbing… more “beef”… so I’ll stop my yappin and get to the point. Here’s a recap of some of my (and your) favorite posts from 2011:

Picnik Silhouette Tutorial

Pottery Barn Knock-Off Numbered Sign Tutorial

Spool Table How-To

(Now that I have a nice camera, I REALLY need to updated that post with better pictures of the spool table!)

While a little a lot past season now, this one was still crazy popular:

Literary Pumpkins

Glass Ornament Pendant Light

Numbered Grain Sack Chairs

Curbside Coffee Table Rescued

Found Driftwood turned Wall Art

Mason Jar Pendant Light

Do What you Love What you Do Tutorial

It’s fun for me to look back at everything in the last year. 77 Posts…. and I didn’t REALLY start blogging until halfway through the year. Crazy. I have a lot I want to do this year… and as long as the house isn’t messy (ha!) I’ll share my progress along the way. I’m all about being real… but you don’t need to see my huge mountains of laundry or my tower of dishes on the counter. :-)

Hope everyone had a fantastic Holiday Season. Can’t believe it’s back to work already.   Back to liiiiiife. Back to reeeality.   (Yep, singing that in my head right this minute!)   I think I’ll channel my inner Will Smith (gonna have to click that link to know what I’m talking about)  the next time I tackle some DIY.

Happy New Year!
