Ladder with Hanging Frames
November 19, 2011 in Building and Repurposing, Furniture Makeovers, Living Room
Finally! I slept past 7:30am. Thank goodness! I still woke up to a belly-flopping Lab, but when I looked at the clock and saw 8:30, I was so excited. While I still had natural light shining through on my ladder, I decided to snap a couple pictures.
Last week I posted this picture of my coffee table, and realized my ladder was hanging out in the background. Thought I’d show you a bit more!
Sorry they aren’t quite in focus. My iPhone was struggling with the lighting.
Hey Apple – any chance you could build a SLR camera into the iPhone 5? That’d be great…. thanks!
For the frames I went to Hobby Lobby and grabbed some joe-schmo wooden frames and then just put eye-hooks in the top and tied them to the rungs.
I bought this ladder a few years ago at an antique shop/flea market for $15. So far it’s lived in my apartment dining area, both bedrooms in this house and my living room. I love pieces that you can move from one room to another!
Have a great weekend! I’m off to do some shopping.
Think I’ll take advantage of this warm weather and go ride Sylvester tonight too.
Be sure to check out the awesome link parties where I’m hanging out this week. They’re organized by day on the right toolbar and can also be found here! Special thanks to Home Stories A2Z!

Hey Bridie! The pic above the couch is from IKEA! I’ll look at it when I get home and tell you the name for it in case you want to search for it
I’ve always LOVED this ladder!
If I ever get tired of it, you can have it
Looks like it’s part of their Pjatteryd collection… which is a selection of pictures on stretched canvas with wooden frames. Unfortunately it looks like they don’t sell the tree-lined-lane any longer, but they have some others. AND… I’ve seen mine on eBay and Craigslist a couple times.
What a great idea! I love the ladder mixed in with the rest of your decor.
Thanks Suzy! I love old ladders. There are just so many ways they can be incorporated into a room. Too fun!!
What a great ide! really nice to see a leadder used for something else than a towel rack.
Wish you a good evening
another super cool project! i love the look of it- what a great way to display photos!
That is such an awesome idea! I know it adds so much character to your space! Great job!
